The Heritage Foundations program went on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast to assure conservatives that Trump’s second term will be America’s 2nd revolution which “will remain bloodless, if the left allows it to be.” A few short weeks later, an assassination attempt was made on Trump’s life and instead of the unsettling helpless feeling of post gun violence bloodshed we’ve become used to in America, there was an immediate sharp panic. Was this the powder keg? Is Trump Franz Ferdinand? Instead of uniting around and condemning violence, Republicans blamed Joe Biden’s “rhetoric.” Just before the attempted assassination, Joe Biden embarrassed himself on the debate stage. Bumbling, doddering, his words and platform failed to materialize. So much so that soon after Democrats pulled a wildcard and swapped Biden for Harris, not that it made much of a difference. So Joe Biden’s rhetoric… where was it? It was clearly absent enough for republicans to declare victory in the first debate, and democrats agreed so much that they replaced him before the second.
